Common questions from contractors and first-time building owners.
Do I need special screws for metal roofing?+
Yes. Use a fastener with a bonded EPDM washer rated for exterior metal. A cheap screw is the most common cause of a leaking roof five years in — the washer fails long before the panel does.
Which insulation should I choose?+
For a shop or barn where condensation is the issue, double-bubble Low-E is the cost-effective answer. For conditioned space — a barndominium or an office bay — go with faced fiberglass or spray foam over a vapor barrier. We'll walk through both.
Can accessories be color-matched to my panels?+
Yes. Trim, screws, closures and cupolas are matched to your panel color from the same chart, so the finished building looks like one job instead of three.
Can I buy accessories without buying a building?+
Absolutely. Plenty of customers come to us for a box of screws, a couple of pipe boots or a walk door to finish somebody else's building.
Do you sell overhead and roll-up doors?+
We supply the framed opening and can source overhead and roll-up doors with your package — tell us the opening size and we'll quote it.
How fast can I get accessories?+
Stock accessories ship with your order or go out on their own, nationwide. Color-matched trim runs 48 to 72 hours when it's custom.
